I recently received an anonymous report of an individual within our corp who has reportedly professed to using self-believed religious based powers in a manner intended to bring harm to others to include Senior Members, simply because they were angry and did not get their way on an issue. I find it hard to believe that any of our members are that immature. However, I must take these kinds of reports seriously.
Although I have fought for, and many of my comrades through the years have died for, maintaining your right to practice whatever religion you choose to practice, I do draw the line when such practices have known ill intent or are intended to intimate or terrorize others. Even though I do not personally believe in implied gestures that are not manifested into actual physical action (Voodoo’s, Chants, Spells, etc…), I do take the threat very seriously if the individual making such threat truly believes in their abilities and tries to impress upon others that they have such intimidating abilities. That, my fellow service members is Terrorism.
Let's look at what Terrorism is:

Webster Dictionary: The unlawful use or threatened use of force or violence by a person or an organized group against people or property with the intention of intimidating or coercing societies or governments, often for ideological or political reasons.

The U.S. Department of Defense uses a definition that highlights another element of the concept of terrorism. Terrorism is "the calculated use of violence or the threat of violence to inculcate fear; intended to coerce or to intimidate governments or societies in the pursuit of goals that are generally political, religious, or ideological."

"Terrorism is the premeditated, deliberate, systematic murder, mayhem, and threatening of the innocent to create fear and intimidation in order to gain a political or tactical advantage, usually to influence an audience." (James M. Poland, professor of criminal justice at California State University, Sacramento. He has written extensively on terrorism and hostage crisis intervention.)

Terrorism is defined in the Code of Federal Regulations as "the unlawful use of force and violence against persons or property to intimidate or coerce a government, the civilian population, or any segment thereof, in furtherance of political or social objectives."

So, practice your religious beliefs however you choose. As I have always done in the service of my country, I will fight for and honor your right to do so until my last breath. However, keep any ill wishes or slanderous banter to yourself. It will not be tolerated and if I hear of any more of it, I will take it straight up the Chain of Command. As far as I am concerned, this is now a closed subject and warrants no further discussion amongst the Cadet Corp. I hope I am clear on this. LT

LT. Blucker, I have locked this topic so no one else may post, as u said this is a closed issue, and you don't want it discussed anymore. I will lock it and no-one can post anything under it anymore.
