I hesitate to even call this a Accident Prevention Program...because it is much more than just a program, it should be a way of life. This is not just something I practice while at a Civil Air Patrol activity, or while just working at the Coast Guard Base, I try to practice Accident Prevention every minute of the day. You don't have to spend a lot of time doing it. Just like any good habit, it takes some work to start it, but it soon becomes second nature and you start to quickly find ways to be safer in every activity you participate in. I encourage each of you to take the time over the next month and develop your skills to recognize potential hazards before they develop into an accident and to share your experience with us at the next meeting. Your safety is very important to us. I look forward to hearing from each of you.
